BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (15-24-1) fell 8-6 on the road today to Bloomsburg University (23-16) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matchup.

The two teams were unable to get the second game of the doubleheader in due to lightening and rain.

The Bald Eagles scored six runs on 10 hits in the game.

Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) had a huge game at the plate for The Haven, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a homerun.  He drove in three RBI and scored two runs.

Jay Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) and Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate University) each had two hits on the day.

Hartman was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Botts was 2-for-4 with a double.

Cory Dorman (Mifflinburg, Pa./Alleghany College of Maryland) and Jeff Ross (Danville, Pa./Danville) each had singles for LHU.

David Masteller (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) started on the mound for LHU.  He pitched 5.2 innings and struck out three hitters.

The Bald Eagles return to action tomorrow (April 22) when they host Bloomsburg for a doubleheader at Foundation Field.

Tomorrow's games mark the celebration of the second annual Wounded Warrior game honoring veterans of our military.  Families and friends had the opportunity to sponsor a veteran for the day.  Each of the LHU players will have a veteran's name across his jersey.  Sponsored vets will be a part of the opening ceremony with the players on the field.  After the games that day, the jersey will be cleaned and sent to the veteran or family.  The jerseys will be camouflage in color.  The players will also wear camo hats.  The Wounded Warrior ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the first pitch of the doubleheader to follow at 1 p.m.
