Men’s Soccer downed at #14 Mercyhurst, 2-0

Brad Sumski makes seven saves to keep Lock Haven in the game

Box Score ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (4-10, 2-7 PSAC) fell to No. 14 Mercyhurst University (12-3, 9-1 PSAC) 2-0 on the road today in PSAC action.
 
Bald Eagle goalie Brad Sumski (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) made seven saves to keep LHU in the game, but the Lakers scored one goal in each half to earn the valuable three points at home.
 
Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley), who leads LHU in goals turned in a two-shot effort today, but neither could find the back of the net.
 
Fernando Martinez, the PSAC's second leading scorer put the Lakers up 1-0 in the 33rd minute.
 
Mercyhurst's Matt Campana made it 2-0 in the 57th minute.  
 
The Bald Eagles return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Bloomsburg University at 7:30 p.m.
