Women’s Soccer downed 4-2 at Bloomsburg

Madison Taylor scores 25th career goal for Lock Haven; stands alone in 7th all-time

Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (4-11-1, 3-10-1 PSAC) lost 4-2 this evening at Bloomsburg University (7-9, 5-9 PSAC) in PSAC action.
 
Tara Huber scored all four goals for the Huskies.
 
Huber put Bloomsburg up 1-0 in the 10th minute, but Lock Haven was quick to tie the match.
 
Madison Taylor (Monaca, Pa./Center) scored her sixth goal of the year and 25th of her Haven career in the 14th minute to knot the match at 1-1. The goal moved her into sole possession of the seventh-best scoring mark in school history.
 
Huber's natural hat trick gave Bloomsburg the 3-1 lead at halftime. She made it 2-1 in the 20th minute and netted her third goal in the 42nd minute. She wasn't done and made it 4-1 early in the second half.
 
Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) cut into the Bloomsburg lead in the 76th minute when she scored off a pass from Samantha Biondi (Hamilton, N.J./Mercer County C.C.).
 
Haven goalie Michelle Cuomo (Schenectady, N.Y./Herkimer) made five saves.
 
LHU returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. when the Lady Eagles host IUP in the final home game of the season.

LHU has just two games remaining this season … Madison Taylor's 25 goals are one better than Arielle Gordon (24; 2007-2010) and five behind Katie Taylor (30; 1991-2002) on the all-time list.
