Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After six road games to start the 2013 season, the No. 8 Lock Haven University lacrosse team finally took to its home turf and the Lady Eagles improved to a perfect 3-0 in PSAC action, downing visiting-Millersville, 15-4.
Lock Haven (6-1, 3-0 PSAC) jumped out to a 7-2 halftime lead and The Haven poured it on in the second, as the Lady Eagles avenged a 2012-loss to Millersville (4-3, 0-3 PSAC).
LHU's 15 goals came from seven different players, including
Kelly Hamilton (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South), who had a game-high four.
Chelsea Borrino (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) paced Lock Haven's attack. The junior scored a pair of goals and assisted five others.
Rachel Ward (Fisher, Ind./Bishop Chatard) netted a hat trick.
Emily Cilla (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) and
Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) joined Borrino with two goals apiece.
Hope Thomas (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) and
Taylor Klunk (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) each scored once for Lock Haven.
Cilla and Ward were both credited with assists in the win.
Pandolf's strong midfield play was another big key for Lock Haven. She had a game-high five caused turnovers and a game-high six ground balls to go along with her two goals.
The Lady Eagles got notable performances from everyone in their defensive lineup today The Haven's strong defensive effort forced Millersville into 25 turnovers for the game.
Six different Lady Eagles were credited with a caused turnover, including
Jenna Dingler (Washington Township, N.J./Washington Township), who had three.

Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) made four saves, including a pair of sensational ones on the way to her sixth win of the season.
Just over a minute into the match, Millersville took the lead after gaining control of the opening draw. A patient Millersville attack led to an Ashley Henderson goal and a 1-0 lead.
It was all Lock Haven after that, as LHU tacked on the next four goals of the match.
Lock Haven stretched it to a 7-2 halftime lead and LHU outscored Millersville 8-2 in the second.
Lock Haven returns to action on Friday, April 5 at 3 p.m. when it travels to East Stroudsburg for PSAC action.
