#8 Lacrosse downs ESU 17-6 to remain perfect in PSAC play

Haven gets game-high five goals from Rachel Ward

Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.  – The No. 8 Lock Haven University lacrosse team got goals from eight different players and the Lady Eagles defense was solid once again as The Haven cruised past East Stroudsburg, 17-6 to remain perfect in PSAC play.

Lock Haven (7-1, 4-0 PSAC) got a game-high five goals from Rachel Ward (Fishers, Ind./Bishop Chatard) and LHU improved to 4-0 in PSAC action.

ESU (1-7, 0-4 PSAC) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but it was short lived as Lock Haven closed the first half on an eight-goal run.

Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) and Hope Thomas (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) both netted hat tricks for Lock Haven.

Chelsea Borrino (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) paced The Haven attack with three assists.

Taylor Klunk (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) added three assists and one goal for Lock Haven and Kelly Hamilton (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) added two goals and a helper.

Christina Hawkins (Harve de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace) and Melinda Wojt (Telford, Pa./Souderton) led LHU's defensive effort today. Hawkins had two caused turnovers and two ground balls, while Wojt was credited with two caused turnovers and one ground ball.

Goalie Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) made four saves in 53-plus minutes of action Cassidy Novonty (Spring-Ford, Pa./Sprin-Ford) added two saves.

Lock Haven is right back at it tomorrow (Saturday, April 6) when the Lady Eagles travel No. 15 Bloomsburg (3 p.m.).
