#8 Lacrosse soars past Edinboro 18-7; Lady Eagles improve to 6-0 in PSAC play

Haven trio nets hat tricks, 11 different players score as offense pushes LHU past Fighting Scots

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  – Three Lady Eagles netted hat tricks and 11 different players scored as the No. 8 Lock Haven University lacrosse team improved to 6-0 in PSAC play with an 18-7 win over visiting Edinboro.

Lock Haven (9-1, 6-0 PSAC) got hat tricks from Rachel Ward (Fishers, Ind./Bishop Chatard), Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) and Hope Thomas (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) as the trio sparked The Haven's explosive offensive attack.

LHU's high-powered attacked was aided by a pair of goals from Kelly Hamilton (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) and four assists from Chelsea Borrino (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) as both players helped Lock Haven jump all over Edinboro (4-6, 1-5 PSAC).

Lock Haven led 9-1 at halftime and the Lady Eagles got another strong defensive effort throughout.

Haven goalie Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) improved to 9-1 in the cage with five saves in over 40 minutes of play.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, April 13 at Gannon (1 p.m.)

- Lock Haven remained at No. 8 in this week's IWLCA National Poll, which was released earlier today.
- Cassidy Novotny played 16:54 in net today and finished with a pair of saves.
- LHU's 18 goals came from 11 different players and Lock Haven recorded nine total assists.
- It's the second time this year LHU has scored 18 goals. Lock Haven beat Shepherd by an identical 18-7 score in the 2013 season-opener.
- Today was just the second home game of the year for LHU.
