Lady Eagles shutout UPJ 2-0 for first win of 2013

Haven gets goals from Taylor & Ludlam and LHU head coach Lynnette Reitz picks up first career win

Box Score JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team scored a goal in each half and the Lady Eagles picked up their first win of the 2013 season as LHU shutout Pitt-Johnstown, 2-0.
 
Lock Haven (1-1-1, 1-1-1 PSAC) got goals from Madison Taylor (Monaca, Pa./Center) and Taylor Ludlam (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink) to lead LHU head coach Lynnette Reitz to her first career win as head coach.
 
The Lady Eagles dominated host and PSAC newcomer UPJ (0-3-0, 0-3-0 PSAC) in shots at 22-7 and went up 1-0 in the 31st minute when Taylor headed home a pass from Harley Rolph (Newton, N.J./Kittantinny Regional).
 
Ludlam made it 2-0 in the 54th minute and Dana Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass./Mount St. Charles Academy) made four saves for Lock Haven's first shutout of the year.
 
LHU is back in action tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 14) at Seton Hill (noon).

- All three of LHU's 2013 matches have been PSAC contests.
- This was the first win for Lynnette Reitz. The first-year head coach is a former Lady Eagle standout.
- Lock Haven's four goals this year have come from four different players, including Taylor & Ludlam, who scored their first goals of the year today.
- UPJ and Seton Hill joined the PSAC in July.
