Men’s Soccer falls to NYIT, 4-1

Haven gets lone goal from Trent Burris

Box Score OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team fell to NYIT 4-1 on the road today in non-conference action.
 
Lock Haven (2-3) got its goal from Trent Burris (McAlisterville, Pa./East Juniata) in the 53rd minute to make to 2-1, but the host-Bears (5-1) answered with two goals of their own to secure the win.
 
Haven goalie Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post East) made seven saves in the loss.
 
NYIT went up 1-0 in the sixth minute on a goal from Ben Wilson. Wilson was at it again and made it 2-0 Bears in the 39th minute.
 
Following Burris's goal in the 53rd minute, NYIT scored in the 80th and 83rd minute to earn the win.
 
Lock Haven returns to action on Friday, September 27 at the University of the District of Columbia (2 p.m.).
