Men’s Soccer falls to UDC, 4-2

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team fell to University of District of Columbia 4-2 on the road today in non-conference action.
 
UDC (5-3) took an early lead with a goal from Felix Angerer in the first minute of play. UDC went on to score in the 21st, 28th, and 36th minute to earn the win. 
 
Lock Haven (2-4) got its first goal from Asher Klahold (Lititz, Pa./Warwick), assisted by Adam Supplee (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) in the 44th minute of play to make it 4-1. 
 
Lock Haven held the Firebirds to a scoreless second half.  In the 88th minute of play, freshman Carson O'Neill (Newton, N.J./Kittatiny Regional) headed a ball on an empty net to make the score 4-2.    
 
Haven goalies Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post East) and Brad Sumski (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) split time in the net.  Howitt recorded three saves.
 
Lock Haven returns home to host Cedarville on Monday, September 30 (4:30 p.m.).

- LHU went 0-1 last week, losing to NYIT action on Tuesday afternoon, 4-1.
- Today's goal was the second of the year for Carson O'Neill.
- LHU is 1-3 away from Hubert Jack Stadium. The Bald Eagles are 1-1 at home.
