9/7/2013 8:15:00 PM

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team rallied late and scored in the 84th minute, but it wasn't enough as LHU was edged 2-1 by Gannon.

The Lady Eagles (0-1-1, 0-1-1 PSAC) trailed 2-0 late in the match, but were awarded a penalty kick in the 84th minute after Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) was dragged down in the box by the Gannon (2-0, 2-0 PSAC)  goalie.

Hunter took full advantage and very calmly slotted the ball in the right side of the net.

Lock Haven continued to pressure late, but couldn't sneak another past Sarah Geffel, who made three saves for Gannon on the way to the win.

Gannon's first goal came late in the first half and the Golden Knights scored a second goal early in the second half, which helped them improve to 2-0 on the young season.

LHU goalie Dana Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass./St. Charles Academy) was credited with one save in the loss.

LHU returns to action on Friday, September 13 at PSAC-newcomer Pitt-Johnstown (1:30 p.m.)
