AMHERST, Mass. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team dropped its first Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) road-contest of the season today at conference-rival Massachusetts, 3-0.

UMass (4-7, 2-1 A-10) scored all three goals in the first half on its way to the win over visiting Lock Haven (7-4, 2-1 A-10).

The Lady Eagles had three shots in each half, but none could beat UMass goalkeeper Sam Carlino, who finished with four saves.

Elaina White (Etters, Pa./Red Land) and
Maddie Wagenfeld (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) split time between the pipes today, with each playing a half for Lock Haven. White and Wagenfeld made two and four saves, respectively.

Taylor Kennedy (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Township) and
Lydia George (Carlisle, Pa./Big Spring) combined to register all six of LHU's shots in the game.
