SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team fell to Wheeling Jesuit University, 79-63 today at the Clarion Hotel Conference Challenge hosted by Shepherd University.
Dave Garcia (Scotrun, Pa./Pocono Mt. East) led the way for LHU today with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field.
Nate Walters (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) scored 10 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) netted 10 points and grabbed five rebounds and
Theo West (Philadelphia/Kensington) tallied six points and pulled down five boards.
Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) scored seven points off the bench for The Haven.
The Bald Eagles fell behind early in the first half and were unable to recover. Wheeling Jesuit led, 39-24 at halftime and maintained its cushion for most of the second half.
Pat Moseh led the Cardinals with 21 points and Eric Siefert added 16 points.
The Bald Eagles return to action Wednesday (Nov. 19) when LHU hosts No. 4 East Stroudsburg in its home and PSAC opener. Tipoff from Thomas Fieldhouse is set for 7:30 p.m.
