MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (19-10, 13-8 PSAC) downed Millersville University (14-16, 7-14), 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, & 25-22) on the road in conference action.
Senior
Cody Anderson (Johnsonburg, Pa./Johnsonburg) led The Haven offense through three straight sets against Millersville today to seal an, 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, & 25-22) victory.
Anderson tallied a match-high 12 kills to go along with a pair of digs through three sets.
Junior
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) paced the attack with a match-high 32 assists, eight digs, and two assisted blocks. Brown added three kills in the win.
Kaleigh Hudak (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) recorded 10 kills on 27 attempts and added three digs.
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) recorded seven kills and
Stephanie Doherty (East Earl, Pa./Garden Spot) added six kills for a .455 hitting-percentage.
Defensively, the Lady Eagles held the Marauders to a .075 team hitting-percentage and just three aces.
Sydney Belcastro (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hopewell) led LHU with 16 digs and freshman
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) added 13 digs.
LHU dominated the match with five Lady Eagles tallying three or more kills in the match and 12 assisted blocks to halt The Marauders charge.
Kayla Wallace led Millersville with nine kills and Brooklyn Smith recorded 16 digs.
The Lady Eagles added seven aces in the win.
Lock Haven returns to action tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 8) on the road at Shippensburg University in its final match of the regular season (1 pm).
