Box Score 2 WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team dropped both games of a PSAC East doubleheader today at West Chester.
Lock Haven (11-16, 3-11 PSAC East) was edged 5-4 in game one and LHU dropped game two, 8-5.
LHU and West Chester (16-11, 9-7 PSAC East) will meet again tomorrow.
Game 1 Recap: Scott Zuback (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) was 3-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI, leading the way for the Bald Eagles in game one.
Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) was 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored, while
Anthony Kyne (Newtown Square, Pa./Penn State Brandywine) drove in a pair of runs.
Madison Neddo (Earleville, Md./Coppin State Univ.) struck out four in the first six innings of the game.
The Haven scored its four runs on six hits, while West Chester scored five on 13 hits.
LHU and WCU were deadlocked at 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh when Rob Spekhardt hit a two-out RBI single, giving West Chester the win.
Game 2 Recap: The Golden Rams scored eight runs on 13 hits in game two on the way to the 8-5 win.
LHU scored its five runs on 11 hits.
Four different Bald Eagles drove in a run and both
Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate Univ.) and
Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) had a pair of hits.
The Bald Eagles return home to host this same West Chester squad tomorrow (Sunday, April 13) at 1 p.m. from Foundation Field.
