#8 Lacrosse shuts down Millersville for 8th straight win

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The No. 8 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (10-2 6-1 PSAC) held visiting Millersville University (5-7, 1-6 PSAC) to just two goals as the Lady Eagles downed The Marauders, 16-2.
 
Redshirt-junior Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) continued to lead Lock Haven with four goals and three assists on the day, and continues to lead the conference in scoring with 49 goals on the year. Pandolf recorded a hat trick in the first ten minutes of action.
 
After a tremendous first half effort LHU held an, 12-1 advantage at the break.
 
The Haven attack was firing on all cylinders as eight different players scored for the Haven, including sophomore Jenna Dingler (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) who netted three goals. 
 
Chelsea Borrino (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), Jill Murray (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville), and Rachel Ward (Indianapolis, Ind./Bishop Chatard) all scored twice for the Lady Eagles.  Borrino recorded three assists on the day. 
 
The Lock Haven defensive unit continued to be flawless, causing 10 turnovers and holding Millersville to just nine shots. LHU is defensively the best in the conference in clear attempts with a 93% success rate.
 
Kelly Close (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) was on fire in the midfield, grabbing a team-high four groundballs and causing three turnovers.
 
Christina Hawkins (Havre de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace) led LHU with four draw controls.
 
Starting between the pipes for LHU was redshirt-sophomore Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central).  Baffuto recorded three saves in the win. Freshman goalkeeper Morgan Bare (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) saw time in the second half and recorded a save while in goal.

The Lady Eagles hit the road for a Tuesday (April 14) afternoon clash at East Stroudsburg (4 p.m.).
