Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) led the No. 8 Lock Haven lacrosse team (8-2) to a dominating, 20-5 victory over the Rams of Shepherd University (7-5).
Earlier today (Monday, April 7), the weekly Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll was released (Week 7) and the Lady Eagles remained at No. 8.
Last week, Lock Haven went 2-0 with a pair of wins over teams both ranked in the top-15 at the time.
Pandolf netted a game-high seven goals and grabbed five draw controls in the win today.
Senior
Chelsea Borrino (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) controlled the Haven attack with a hat trick and three assists.
The Lady Eagles took immediate control in the first half netting its first goal in the first two minutes of action. LHU continued to drive to the net with a huge, 14-1 advantage at the break.
Shepherd University battled at the start of the half with back-to-back goals in the first two minutes.
LHU responded with six goals to pull away for the win.
Midfielder
Lindsay Walbrandt (Telford, Pa./Souderton) and
Kelly Hamilton (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) dominated the midfield with four draw controls and three groundballs, respectively.
Both Walbrandt and Hamilton netted hat tricks.
LHU combined for 32 shots and netted nine of 11 free position shots.
Redshirt-Sophomore
Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) made five saves between the pipes for LHU.
The Lady Eagles are right back at it on Wednesday, April 9 vs. No. 14 Mercyhurst University at 4 p.m.
