Men’s Soccer battles to 0-0 draw at Cedarville

Lock Haven and host-Cedarville go 110 minutes, but neither squad could crack the score sheet

Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (1-1-1) and host-Cedarville (2-1-1) played the full 90 minutes and two 10-minute overtime periods, but neither team could score as the game ended in a 0-0 (2OT) draw.
 
It marked Lock Haven's third straight road trip to open the 2014 season and the Bald Eagles were coming off their first win of the season last Tuesday. LHU has now earned points in each of the last two games.
 
Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post East) kept LHU in the game with four saves.
 
Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) did all he could to spark the attack, but none of his four shots could find the back of the net.
 
Lock Haven returns to action on Friday, September 19 at 4:30 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Pitt-Johnstown.
