Men’s Soccer falls in season-opener

Lock Haven edged 1-0 at Le Moyne in non-conference action

Box Score SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (0-1) opened the 2014 season today on the road at Le Moyne (2-0) and the Bald Eagles were edged 1-0.
 
Le Moyne scored the game's only goal in the 27th minute after Jacob Borssen knocked home a Nick Rauscher cross for the game-winner.
 
Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post East) made one save in net for LHU.
 
Jacob Oldaker (Elliottsburg, Pa./West Perry) did all he could to spark the LHU attack with four shots, but none could find the back of the net.
 
The Bald Eagles were picked 10th in the 2014 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches' poll. Lock Haven went 5-12 last season.
 
Lock Haven returns to action on Tuesday, September 9 at 4 p.m. on the road at Goldey Beacom.
