LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lady Eagles got another tremendous individual effort from
Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) and the Lock Haven University women's basketball team cruised to a 68-59 victory over Slippery Rock University today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action on PSECU Court at Thomas Fieldhouse.

Moyer scored a game-high 17 points and matched her career-high in rebounds with 18, including 15 on the defensive side, as her monster double-double led LHU to the win.

The win marked Lock Haven's (4-8, 3-5 PSAC) fourth of the year and fourth in the last seven games as the Lady Eagles continue to find their stride.

It was another balanced scoring effort for Lock Haven, who put four players in double-figures scoring, including
Emily Daugherty (Laughlinton, Pa./Ligonier Valley), who scored 15.

Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock) added 12 points and four assists, while
J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) chipped in with 10.

Lock Haven led by four at the break, 37-33 after SRU (6-6, 2-6 PSAC) used a strong run to close the gap late in the first half.

Daugherty led the way in the first half with 11 points. She was 4-of-6 from the field with three, 3-pointers.

The Lady Eagles continued their strong play in the second, including hitting 13-of-14 shots from the free-throw line.

D'Asia Chambers led SRU with 16 points, while Erica Aiello added 12 in the loss.

Yesterday (Saturday, Jan. 3), the Lady Eagles came up just a bid short in an-upset bid over No. 9 California (Pa.) University. LHU was edged 71-62.

Lock Haven hits the road on Wednesday, January 7 for the first of three straight road games. LHU takes on Edinboro on Wednesday (Jan. 7) evening at 5:30 p.m.
