Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Kaiser nets career-high 11 points, but Lady Eagles fall on the road

Lock Haven drops PSAC Crossover at Edinboro, 74-50

EDINBORO, Pa. – Loren Kaiser (Bethlehem, Pa./Pace Univ.) netted a career-high 11 points, but it wasn't enough to spark the Lock Haven University women's basketball team, as the Lady Eagles dropped their final Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover game of the season tonight at Edinboro University, 74-50.

The Lady Eagles (4-9, 3-6 PSAC) entered the game on a hot streak and had won three of their last four games, but the host Fighting Scots (11-3, 8-2 PSAC) got a game-high 21 points from Aignee' Freeland, sparking them to victory.

Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier Valley) followed up Sunday's season-high 15-point effort with eight points tonight.

Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) chipped in with six points and six rebounds. Her six points move her just 26 points away from surpassing the prestigious 1,000-point plateau. Only 12 Lady Eagles have reached 1,000 points in their Haven careers.

Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock) had another strong all-around outing, and finished with five points, four rebounds and four assists.

Tonight marked the first of three straight road games for the Lady Eagles, who travel to Kuztown University on Saturday (Jan. 10) for a 1 p.m. start. Next Wednesday (Jan. 14), LHU plays at Millersville University (5:30 p.m.)
