LORETTO, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (13-3, 3-3 A-10) lost 3-0 today on the road at Saint Francis (7-5, 2-2 A-10) in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action.
Each team had 11 shots in the game and Lock Haven held a 6-3 advantage in penalty corners, but Saint Francis scored three first-half goals to push by the Bald Eagles.
Irene Fritschy, Brea Seabrook and Erika Stefanides all scored for the Red Flash and SFU goalkeeper made Samantha Zeiders made six saves on the way to the victory.
LHU got two shots apiece from four different players, including leading-scorer
Rachel Valentine (Souderton, Pa/Souderton), who did all she could to spark the offense.
Lock Haven returns to action on Sunday, October 18 at Lehigh (12 p.m.).
