Amspacher strikes late to lift Men’s Soccer

Troy Amspacher scored in the 79th minute to help the LHU Men’s Soccer team slip by Seton Hill in PSAC action.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (5-4-1, 4-1 PSAC) edged visiting Seton Hill (3-6-1, 1-3 PSAC), 1-0, thanks to a Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) strike late in the game.
 
Amspacher scored in the 79th minute after he converted a penalty shot. The goal was Amspacher's fifth of the season as he calmly tucked another penalty shot home in a crucial game-changing moment.
 
The win was Lock Haven's fourth straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) win. At 4-1 in PSAC play, the Bald Eagles are the tied for third in the conference standings.
 
Haven goalkeeper Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) made five saves on his way to preserving the clean sheet.
 
The Bald Eagles return to action on Wednesday, October 7 at Millersville (6:30 p.m.).
