LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team picked up two wins today, including an important Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East victory over Millersville.
Lock Haven (10-7, 2-4 PSAC) defeated Millersville, 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 20-25 & 25-14) and Alderson Broaddus, 3-0 (25-15, 25-13 & 25-21).
The Bald Eagle's offense was lifted by
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll). She led the way in the day's opening win over Millersville with 15 kills. She also had four of Lock Haven's nine aces.
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) and
Brittany Moyer (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) knocked down 12 and 11 kills, respectively.
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) dished out 34 assists and
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) led LHU with 38 digs.
In the win over Alderson Broaddus, Gomish once again led the Bald Eagles offense with 15 kills.
Flick and Moyer finished with 12 and nine kills, respectively.
Brown supplied 35 more assists to the potent Haven attack.
The Bald Eagles return to action on Tuesday (October 6) night at Pitt-Johnstown (7 p.m.).
