JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (10-8, 2-5 PSAC) fell, 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-9 & 25-15) tonight to host Pitt-Johnstown (13-2, 7-0 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
Brittany Moyer (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) and
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) led the Bald Eagles attack with nine and eight kills, respectively.
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard Dale) dished out 21 assists.
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) added six kills, 18 digs and five block assists.
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) led The Haven with 23 digs.
With the win, Pitt-Johnstown remained undefeated in PSAC action at 7-0. Cambria Weirman, the reigning PSAC East Player of the Week, knocked down a match-high 14 kills (.250) and Kendall Mahony hit .345 (14 kills) to help UPJ to the victory.
LHU returns to action on Friday, October 9 at Kutztown (7 p.m.).
