KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (11-8, 3-5 PSAC) powered its way to a dominating 3-0 (26-24, 25-17 & 25-20) victory on the road tonight at Kutztown University (4-14, 2-6 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) hit a match-high .450 and
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) tallied a match-high 12 kills.
Flick added 11 kills and
Brittany Moyer (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) had nine.
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) directed the offense with 39 assists and
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) fueled the defensive effort with 27 digs.
The Bald Eagles hit .241 and .323 in the first and second sets, respectively to set the tempo for the victory.
LHU returns to action tomorrow (Saturday, October 10) at East Stroudsburg (1 p.m.).
