PSAC Tournament Central LIVE STATS LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team is set for a return trip to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament.
The Bald Eagles are the PSAC's tournament's No. 6 seed and will play at No. 3 seed Bloomsburg Tuesday (November 3) night at 7 p.m. at Bloomsburg's Steph Pettit Stadium.
The playoff appearance marks Lock Haven's first since 2011.
LHU enters Tuesday's match with a 7-10-1 overall record. The Bald Eagles were 6-5 in PSAC action.
Bloomsburg enters the match at 13-4 overall and the Huskies went 8-3 in conference play.
Lock Haven and Bloomsburg met back on September 15 and the Huskies won the regular season match, 2-0.
In 2011, Lock Haven was playing as the top-seed after claiming the PSAC regular season title and ironically enough hosted Bloomsburg. After 110 minutes LHU and Bloomsburg were tied at 1-1, forcing a shootout. Bloomsburg won 7-6 in a nine-round penalty-kick shootout and advanced to the PSAC title match.
Troy Amspacher, one of five LHU seniors will look to spark the Bald Eagles on another tournament run. He leads Lock Haven in scoring with eight goals and three assists. Fellow senior
Jacob Oldaker adds four goals and two assists.
The winner of the Lock Haven – Bloomsburg match will play No. 2 seed Millersville. No. 1 seed Mercyhurst, the host of the PSAC semifinals and championship match, awaits the winner of No. 5 California (Pa.) at No. 4 Slippery Rock.
The PSAC semifinals are set for Friday, November 6 and the championship match is scheduled for Sunday.
