CHEYNEY, Pa. – All five starters scored in double-figures tonight as the Lock Haven University men's basketball team (9-15, 9-11 PSAC) secured its third straight win, downing Cheyney (2-23, 1-19 PSAC) on the road, 95-81.

The win, coupled with a Shippensburg loss puts the Bald Eagles in sole possession of fifth place in the PSAC East standings. The top six teams in the Eastern Division will earn a trip to the PSAC playoffs.

Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Neumann-Goretti), the reigning PSAC East Player of the Week, led the way for LHU with 25 points to go along with seven assists and five rebounds in the win.

Al Blount (Northampton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) was feeling it from downtown. Blount hit 6-of-7 of his three-point attempts, finishing with 19 points.

Blount's six threes are the most for a Bald Eagle since
Julian Bond made six against Edinboro on February 4, 2012.

Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) netted 16 points in an all-around performance. He added eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.

Theo West (Philadelphia/Kensington) was solid in the paint, finishing with 13 points and seven boards.

Nate Walters (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists.

The Bald Eagles shot a sizzling 75% (9-of-12) on three-pointers and LHU was 54.9% (28-of-51) overall from the field, its second best mark of the season.

Lock Haven held the lead, 47-31 at halftime. Cheyney jumped out to an, 18-3 run to begin the second half, cutting LHU's lead to just one, 50-49 with 14:12 to play.

The Bald Eagles answered with a, 15-5 run of their own over the next four minutes. LHU pushed its lead to as many as 18 with 4:03 to play and never looked back on its way to the win.

Kevin Larkin hit six threes on the night and led the Wolves with 25 points.

Lock Haven will have an opportunity to clinch its ticket to the postseason Saturday (Feb. 21) when the Bald Eagles host Shippensburg at Thomas Fieldhouse. Shippensburg is currently tied for sixth in the East with Mansfield, just one game behind LHU with two games to play.Â
