WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team saw three players score in double-figures, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Eagles dropped a tight PSAC East contest, 68-55 tonight at West Chester University.

Rachael McDaniel (Plainfield, N.J./California (Pa.) Univ.) led the way with a team-high 12 points.

Both
Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Mansfield) and
Loren Kaiser (Bethlehem, Pa./Pace Univ.) netted 10 points apiece for Lock Haven.

Kaiser also had four assists and two steals.
Â
Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier Valley) chipped in with eight points and
Kirsti Bair (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) added six points, and a team-high eight rebounds.

Both teams shot well in the first half and West Chester (17-4, 13-4 PSAC East) held a slim, 36-32 lead. The Lady Eagles (7-13, 6-10 PSAC East) shot 48 percent from the field in the first, but the Golden Rams matched their hot-shooting with a 50 percent clip in the opening half.

The two teams fell off the pace in the second half, but West Chester pulled away, thanks to a game-high 21 points from Serifat Junaid. She was one of three players in double-figures scoring for WCU and she added 10 rebounds.

The Lady Eagles forced West Chester into 14 turnovers and LHU took full advantage, netting 14 points off turnovers, which kept The Haven in the game.
