Strong second half sends #2 Lady Eagles past #18 Seton Hill, 11-7

Pandolf and Hamilton net hat tricks; Baffuto records seven saves in the win

GREENSBURG, Pa. – Kelly Hamilton (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) and Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) both net hat tricks as the No. 2 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (5-0, 3-0 PSAC) downed Seton Hill University (6-2, 3-1 PSAC) on the road today, 11-7 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
 
Pandolf and Hamilton led all scorers in today's contest as both recorded hat tricks in the, 11-7 victory over Seton Hill.
 
After a slow start in the first half, Pandolf and Rachel Ward (Indianapolis/Bishop Chatard) sparked the Haven offense with back-to-back goals to trail, 3-2.
 
The Griffins continued to battle and held an, 5-4 advantage at the break.
 
Free positions plagued the Seton Hill defense in the second half as Ward tied the game for the Lady Eagles, 5-5 in the 33rd minute of action.
 
Lock Haven earned its first lead of the game when senior Taylor Klunk (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) found Jill Murray (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) to push LHU up, 6-5 with 22 minutes to play.  
 
From that point on Lock Haven took control of the game and did not relinquish its lead as LHU, earned a, 11-7 conference win.
 
Pandolf went 2-for-3 on free position shots and both Ward and Murray added a pair of goals in the win.
 
Lock Haven's defensive unit held Seton Hill to 1-for-8 on free position shots as Seton Hill recorded 11 turnovers.
 
Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) recorded seven saves in the win.
 
Christine Palmeri led the Griffins with a pair of goals and four ground balls.
 
The Lady Eagles return to action on Tuesday, March 31 when Lock Haven travels to Bloomsburg University. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
