KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team dropped both games of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup against Kutztown University today on the road.

Lock Haven  (8-14, 4-4 PSAC) dropped the first game, 3-2 before falling to Kutztown (21-8, 9-4 PSAC) in game two, 3-2 today at Kutztown University.

The Lady Eagles scored two of their game-one runs on three hits, including a lone home run by
Jodi Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) in the first inning.

The Golden Bears drove in three runs on seven hits to win game-2, 3-2 in the last of a four-game series this season.

Weaknecht led the Haven in game-one with a solo home run to left field in the first inning to lead KU, 1-0.

Paige Stuppy (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) singled up the middle for an RBI in the second inning and
Michelle Holweger (Landsdale, Pa./North Penn) scored an unearned run to gain a, 2-0 lead.

Kutztown scored three runs in the fifth and sealed the win.

Lock Haven scored both runs in the third inning to lead KU, 2-1.

Kutztown responded with a pair of runs in the fourth and seventh inning for the win.

Jessie Probst (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) got the nod in the circle with 6.1 IP, three strikeouts, and 89 pitches.
Lock Haven is scheduled to travel to West Chester tomorrow (Sunday, April 12) at 2:30 p.m.
