WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team rallied late to win game one today and split a doubleheader on the road with West Chester in PSAC East action.

Lock Haven (9-19, 8-12 PSAC East) scored one run in its final at bat to claim game one, 4-3. West Chester (17-8, 13-5 PSAC East) would go on to win game two, 6-2.

Today's games completed a four-game weekend series between LHU and WCU. The Golden Rams won three of the four games after taking two from the Bald Eagles yesterday.

Game 1 Recap: W, 4-3Â
After giving up the tying run in the sixth inning in game one, the Bald Eagles rallied back in the seventh to take the lead, 4-3.

LHU put runners on first and second with two outs in the inning for
Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) who singled to centerfield scoring
Mike Agosto (Bushkill, Pa./Northampton C.C.) from second.

Lock Haven turned the ball over to senior
Joe Nestor (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) in the bottom half of the seventh and Nestor shut the door on the Golden Rams for his first save of the year.

The win was LHU's first over West Chester since April 2, 2000 (nine games).

Agosto finished 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in the win.

Justin Sleigh (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Petersheim and
Ryan Koch (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) each went 2-for-5 in the win.

Game 2 Recap: L, 6-2Â
West Chester jumped out to a, 3-0 lead in the first inning of game one and the Golden Rams never trailed on their way to a, 6-2 win.

After smacking 14 hits in game one, LHU managed just four in game two.

Ethan Moore (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) went 1-for-2 with a double and a RBI for The Haven.

Koch,
Pierce Ranck (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) and Jamie Eshelman (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) all tallied one hit a piece in the game.

Justin Roman drove in four RBIs and Matt Petrizzi struck out six in a complete-game effort on the mound to lead West Chester.

Lock Haven returns to the diamond on Tuesday, April 14 when the Bald Eagles host Pitt-Johnstown in a PSAC crossover doubleheader.
