Balanced attack leads #2 Lady Eagles past visiting East Stroudsburg, 18-5

Pandolf leads Haven charge with 5 goals; Ward nets hat trick

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Nine Lady Eagles recorded goals as the No. 2 Lock Haven University lacrosse team downed visiting East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action today on Charlotte E. Smith field.
 
With today's win Lock Haven (10-0, 7-0 PSAC) remains undefeated and perfect in conference action with the dominating, 18-5 win over East Stroudsburg (6-5, 2-5 PSAC).
 
Senior Jessica Pandolf (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) led all-scorers in today's contest with 5 goals on the day and a hat trick in the first six minutes of action.
 
Lock Haven shut down the Warriors' attack in the first half as LHU held a, 11-0 lead at the break.

East Stroudsburg finally broke through the solid LHU defensive unit in the 36th minute of action to put ESU on the board, 12-1.
 
The Lady Eagles continued to drive to the net, recording seven goals in the remaining 24 minutes to seal a, 18-5 Haven victory.
 
Rachel Ward (Indianapolis/Bishop Chatard) etched her name in the score sheet with a hat trick, shooting 3-for-3 on the day.
 
Sophomore Shannon Bissnette (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) directed the Haven offense with seven assists.  Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley Park) dished out a pair of assists.
 
Midfielder Alex O'Herrick dominated the draw, recording a game-high eight draws in the win.
 
Jenna Dingler (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) and freshman Katie Costanza (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) led the Lady Eagles defensively for a combined four caused turnovers.
 
Chrissy Baffuto (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) earned her 11th win between the pipes with five saves for LHU.
 
Lock Haven recorded 17 draw controls and went 12-for-14 on clear attempts.
 
Lauren Nunes led the Warriors with a hat trick, one assist, and a draw control.
 
Lock Haven returns to action Friday (April 17) when the Lady Eagles host Gannon in PSAC action.  LHU will honor its graduating seniors prior to the start of the game (3 p.m.).
