LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  – The Lock Haven University baseball team dropped two one-run games today to Mansfield University at Foundation Field in PSAC East action/\.

Lock Haven (10-21, 8-14 PSAC East) fell in extra innings in game one to Mansfield (8-20, 5-13 PSAC East), 7-6 and the Bald Eagles dropped game two, 6-5.

Game 1 Recap: L, 7-6 (8 inn.)Â
Lock Haven trailed in game one, 6-2 in the sixth inning of game one, but The Haven sparked a rally in the sixth. LHU plated four runs in the inning to tie the game at, 6-6.

Neither team was able to score in the seventh, sending the game to extra innings. MU's Taylor Hillson hit an RBI double to left in the eighth to put the Mounties ahead, 7-6. The run proved to be enough as LHU was unable to score in its half of the inning.

All nine Bald Eagles tallied at least one hit in the game.

Ryan Koch (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) led the way, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and
Brett Morrison (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) each drove in two RBIs in the game.

Jacob Belinda (Port Matilda, Pa./Tyrone) started on the mound for LHU and allowed five runs (1 earned) in five innings of work. He struck out two and allowed seven hits.

Anthony Renz and Wes Baylor each had three hits in the game for Mansfield.

Game 2 Recap: L, 6-5Â
Mansfield loaded the bases with nobody out in the first inning of game two, but the Bald Eagle defense rose to the occasion and did not allow a run to score.

The Haven plated three runs in the second, including a solo homer by
Justin Sleigh (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) and led, 3-0 through two innings.
Â
Mansfield scored all six of its runs in the fourth. MU's six runs came on six hits and two Bald Eagle errors.
Â
LHU threatened in the sixth and plated two runs to make it a, 6-5 game, but the Bald Eagles were unable to get the tying run across home.
Â
Morrison went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Koch,
Jamie Eshleman (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) and
Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) tallied two hits apiece for LHU.

Lock Haven and Mansfield close out their four-game series tomorrow (Saturday, April 18) when the Bald Eagles travel to Mansfield for a doubleheader.
