MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader today on the road to Mansfield University in PSAC East action.
 
Lock Haven (10-23, 8-16 PSAC East) fell in game one to Mansfield (10-20, 7-13 PSAC East), 9-5 and the Bald Eagles dropped game two, 9-5.
 
Mansfield defeated Lock Haven twice on Friday at Foundation Field.
 
Game 1 Recap: L, 9-5
 
The long ball was the story of game one.  The Bald Eagles jumped out to an early lead, when freshman Justin Sleigh (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) hit a three-run homer to left field.
 
It was Sleigh's second home run in as many days and second of the season.
 
Mansfield scored two in the bottom of the first when Anthony Renz hit a two-run homer and the Mounties tacked on another run in the fourth to tie the game at, 3-3 through four innings.
 
LHU answered in the fifth when Mike Agosto (Bushkill, Pa./Northampton C.C.) drove in two runs with a single up the middle, putting The Haven ahead, 5-3.
 
Mansfield cut the lead to, 5-4 in the bottom of the inning when Wes Baylor hit a solo shot to left and the Mounties powered their way to the lead in the sixth.
 
Mansfield scored five runs in the sixth thanks to a three-run home run by Eric Schanzenbacher and a two-run homer by Matt Kurelja.
 
Agosto finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs for LHU.
 
Ryan Henritzy (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) went 2-for-3 with a double in the game.
 
Sleigh finished 1-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Game 2 Recap: L, 9-5
 
Mansfield won game two, 9-5.
 
Brett Morrison (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) started on the mound for LHU and allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits.  He struck out five.
 
Sleigh led the Bald Eagles at the plate going 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
 
Henritzy was 3-for-4 with a stolen base in the loss.
 
Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
 
The game was tied, 3-3 through four innings of play before Mansfield broke the game open with three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.
 
Lock Haven enters the final week of the regular season next week.  The Bald Eagles travel to Clarion on Tuesday, April 21 for a PSAC crossover doubleheader.
 
The Bald Eagles final PSAC East series will take place on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 against Kutztown.  Lock Haven will travel to Kutztown on Friday before hosting the Golden Bears on Saturday for senior day.
