KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team had the offense rolling today, as The Haven won both games of doubleheader on the road at Kutztown in PSAC East play.
Â
Lock Haven (12-23, 10-16 PSAC East) scored 20 runs on the day. The Bald Eagles beat Kutztown (17-21, 8-18 PSAC East) in game one, 10-2 and LHU won game two, 10-5.
Â
The two wins mean that the Bald Eagles are mathematically alive in the PSAC East playoff picture. LHU currently sits at, 10-16 in divisional play, tied with Bloomsburg in fifth place and two games behind East Stroudsburg for the fourth and final playoff spot.
Â
To reach the playoffs, LHU needs to win both games tomorrow, have East Stroudsburg lose two games to Bloomsburg and, because of a tiebreaker, have West Chester earn the Eastern Division's top seed. West Chester currently sits two wins behind Millersville for first place in the division, but the Golden Rams have four games to play this weekend.
