LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (7-1) cruised to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Georgetown Hoyas (3-3) today in non-conference play.

Rachel Valentine (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) led the way with a pair of goals.

Valentine scored her sixth goal of the season 7:07 into the first half, putting home a crossing-pass from Tamia Roach (Petit Valley, Trinidad and Tobago/St. Joseph's Convent Port-of-Spain).

The two would team up once again just forty-eight seconds later as Valentine directed a Roach pass to the far post and behind Hoyas' goalkeeper Rachel Skonecki. The goal was Valentine's team-leading seventh of the season.

Georgetown cut the lead in half at the 15:23 mark, as Megan Parsons redirected Devin Holmes' pass to the far post for her first goal of the 2015 season.
