LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (2-3-1, 1-1 PSAC) defeated Gannon University (2-4, 1-2 PSAC) 2-1 today in an action-packed, physical and fast-paced match.
Just 8:29 into the match Gannon's Ted Martin received a pass from Sergio Kobowane and Martin chipped the ball over the LHU keeper
Troy Teresak's (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) head to give Gannon an early 1-0 lead.
Just seven minutes later
Tyler Sablyak (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) found the back of when he headed home a
Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) pass. The goal was Sablyak's first on the season.
With the game tied at 1-1, senior
Jacob Oldaker (Elliotsburg, Pa./West Perry) stole an errant Gannon pass, dribbled in and beat the keeper near post. The breakaway-goal was also Oldaker's first goal of the season.
The Oldaker-goal proved to be the game-winner and was all that the LHU defense needed to put the game away.
Teresak finished with four saves.
