RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (7-3) picked up a pair of wins today, extending the Bald Eagles win streak to six matches.
Lock Haven beat Chestnhut Hill 3-1 (25-14, 25-21, 20-25 & 25-23) and topped Felician 3-0 (25-13, 25-10 & 25-15).
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll),
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) and
Brittany Moyer (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) led the way offensively vs. Chestnut Hill, knocking down 18, 15 and 12 kills, respectively.
Gomish hit .271, Flick hit .289 and Moyer hit .257 on the way to the win.
Gomish also had 12 digs, while Flick had 11 and Moyer added 13.
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) dished out 47 assists and added 15 digs.
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) had 20 digs.
Lock Haven had six aces in the win.
Flick led the way in the win over Felician as well and finished with 16 kills. She hit a sizzling .556.
Gomish hit a red-hot .409 and added 12 kills.
Brown paced the offense with 23 assists and Belcastro led the defensive charge with 16 digs.
LHU hit .348 as a team for the match.
Lock Haven is set to take on Slippery Rock and Gannon next Saturday (September 25).
