ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (8-6, 1-2 PSAC) dropped a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover matches today, falling to Edinboro, 3-1 and Mercyhurst, 3-2.
LHU opened the day with a 3-1 loss to Edinboro, falling 25-14, 25-15, 20-25 and 25-22.
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) had 13 kills and
Brittany Moyer (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) added eight.
Jessica Brown (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) dished out 30 assists and recorded 17 digs.
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) added 18 digs.
The Bald Eagles dropped a five-set thriller to Mercyhurst to round out the weekend. LHU lost 3-2 (25-20, 12-25, 25-18, 26-28 & 17-15).
Gomish had 23 kills
Megan Flick (Howard, Pa./Bald Eagle) added 16.
Brown dished out 43 assists and added 15 digs. Brown's 17 digs in the match vs. Edinboro pushed her to an even 1,000 for her career and after the match with Mercyhurst - she now has 1,015 career digs.
LHU hosts Shippensburg on Friday, October 2 at 7 p.m.
