EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (0-1, 0-1 PSAC) was edged 1-0 at No. 11 East Stroudsburg University (1-0, 1-0 PSAC) today (Thursday, September 3) in the 2015 opener for both teams.
The two teams were tied 0-0 at halftime, but ESU finally cracked the scoreboard early in the second half. Sammi Jo Hughes scored an unassisted goal for the Warriors in the 47th minute.
Haylea Myers (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) had a pair of shots in the loss, as she did all she could to spark the offense.
Morgan Euston (Newton, N.J./Newton) made two saves for LHU.
Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, September 5 at 5 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Mercyhurst.
