LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team was edged 2-1 today on the road at New York Institute of Technology in a non-conference match.
NYIT (3-4-1) went up 1-0 just 3:05 into the match after Alex Barbosa found the back of the net.
The Bald Eagles (4-4-1) tied the score at 1-1 in the 59
th minute after
Jacob Oldaker (Elliottsburg, Pa./West Perry) scored off a pass from
Damien Chisholm (Brunswick, Md./Brunswick).
Philip Atbashyan scored the game-winner for the Bears in the 83
rd minute of play.
Jonathan Howitt (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post East) kept LHU in the match with four saves over 90 minutes.
LHU returns to action on Saturday, October 3 at 5:30 p.m. vs. Seton Hill.
