ITHACA, N.Y. – Rachel Valentine (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) lifted the ball on a backhand flip 7:38 into overtime and the Lock Haven University field hockey team (3-0) remained unbeaten in 2015 with a 1-0 victory on the road at Cornell (0-1).
 
It was Valentine's third goal in as many games as she helped Lock Haven move to 3-0 on the season.
 
The shutout was LHU's second in three games as Maddie Wagenfeld (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) and Paige Stuppy (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) split time in the cage, and combined for the shutout-victory.
 
LHU hits the road again on Sunday to take on Towson (12 p.m.).
