Kloecker’s late game jumper drops Lock Haven on the road

ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team fell victim to some late game heroics tonight, as Mercyhurst University took the lead in the final seconds of the game to pick up a 49-46 win over the Bald Eagles.

Lock Haven (6-8, 3-7 PSAC) trailed Mercyhurst (7-7, 5-5 PSAC) 45-44 with under 30 seconds to play when Mackenzie Livingston (Blairsville, Pa./IUP) hit a layup to put LHU ahead 46-45 with just 23 seconds to play.

Mercyhurst ran the clock down, playing for one last shot and connected when Adrienne Kloecker hit a jumper with five seconds to play to give the Lakers the lead.  MU would add two free throws in the final seconds to pick up the 49-46 win.

Rachael McDaniel (Plainfield, N.J./California (Pa.) Univ.) led The Haven with 13 points in the game and added two steals and a blocked shot.

Livingston finished with 11 points, four steals and two assists.

Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) had a big night on the glass, pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with two points.
