GREENSBURG, PA. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (4-5-1) fell in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match at Seton Hill University (6-4, 3-2 PSAC), 2-1, in what proved to be a frantic finish for both teams that saw three goals in the final 10 minutes.
It took 80 minutes of play before Seton Hill's Rory McKinnon put the first points on the board for either team, giving Seton Hill a 1-0 lead.
No more than three minutes later LHU's
Zach Hommey (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville) scored the equalizer in the 84
th minute, to tie it 1-1.
In the 89
th minute SHU's Curtis Gallagher found the back of the net to give SHU the 2-1 lead and the victory.
Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) finished the day with 10 saves, facing 20 shots on the afternoon.
Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) finished with two shots on goal and had the helper on Hommey's game tying goal.
LHU returns to action Wednesday, October 5 at 1 p.m. when they host Millersville.
