LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (4-6-1, 2-4 PSAC) fell to No. 23 Millersville University (7-2-2, 4-1-2 PSAC) 4-0 today at Stern Athletic Complex in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
The Marauders held a slight 7-6 advantage in shots, but Millersville managed to score two goals in each half in what proved to be another physical PSAC match. The two teams combined for 42 fouls.
The visitors scored in the 21
st and 39
th minute to lead 2-0 at halftime and added second half goals in the 53
rd minute and 77
th minute to escape Clinton County with the three points in hand.
Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) was once again LHU's spark as he did all he could to rally the offense. Amspacher fired off two of LHU's six shots, but neither could beat the Millersville goalkeeper.
