LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (5-6-1, 3-4 PSAC) downed the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown (3-8, 1-6 PSAC), 6-1 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

Leading the way offensively for the Bald Eagles was Brian Flatter (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) who finished with a goal and two assists and Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) who added two more goals to his already impressive season.

Lock Haven also got goals from Tyler Weikert (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg), Tyler Shumaker (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Preparatory) and Ben Wilson (Boswell, Pa./Conemaugh Township).

Flatter got the game's first goal in the fifth minute of the match when he gathered a pass from Zach Hommey (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville) and beat the keeper at the near post.

In the 22nd minute UPJ's Colin Michalski scored the equalizer when he was rewarded a penalty kick off of a LHU penalty inside the box.

With only 20 seconds remaining in the first half Amspacher broke the tie on a LHU penalty kick, forcing the goalkeeper one way and beating him the other.

Weikert and Shumaker scored in the 48th and 49th minute, both off of assists from Flatter.

Amspacher got his second goal of the match, and his 12 goal of the season, when he collected a rebound from a Wilson shot that hit off the post.

Wilson rounded-out the scoring with a beautiful free-kick from 30 yards out that bent right to left and beat the keeper in the upper-left corner.
