Kishbaugh’s goal lifts LHU to a 1-0 win over UPJ

Gabby Kishbaugh scores the game’s only goal, LHU defense propels the Bald Eagles past the Mountain Cats.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –Gabby Kishbaugh (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) scored the game's only goal and led the Lock Haven University women's soccer team (4-7, 3-7 PSAC) past the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown (0-12, 0-12  PSAC) 1-0 today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
 
Lock Haven goalkeeper Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) made five saves to preserve a LHU shutout and help the Bald Eagles secure the W.
 
Ella Jones (Mohnton, Pa./Reading Area CC) and Emily Vitale (Rockaway N.J./Morris Hills) helped to spark the LHU offense and helped create several scoring chances. Jones also played her season high, 55 minutes.
 
Jordan Shoff (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) took charge of the LHU defense and was solid in all facets of her defensive game.
 
From her defensive midfield position Senior Maddy Novak (Manheim, Pa./Manheim), stopped the Mountain Cat offense and helped transition the Bald Eagle offense.
 
The Bald Eagles are back in action Tuesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Mansfield.
