LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Despite a balanced scoring effort that saw eight players scoring, including two in double figures, the Lock Haven University women's basketball team (1-2, 0-1 PSAC) opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action with an 80-46 loss to Indiana (Pa.) University (1-2, 1-0 PSAC) in the Bald Eagles home-opener.
Madison McHale (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) knocked down a trio of 3's and finished with a team-high 11 points.
Kayla Henderson (Philadelphia/Lackawanna College) added a 10-point effort.
Freshman
Maimuna Kenneh (Coatesville, Pa./Collegium Charter) continued to play well in the start to her college career and finished with seven rebounds and five points.
Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) was strong on the glass and finished with a game-high eight rebounds.
Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (State College, Pa./State College) was solid for The Haven and finished with seven rebounds and six points, while
Ayanda McGill-Jefferson (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) added six points.
IUP's Carolyn Appleby led three Crimson Hawks who scored in double figures with 20 points.
The Bald Eagles will turn right around and host Seton Hill tomorrow (Sunday, November 20) at 1 p.m.
