LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Despite a career-high 20 points from
Madison McHale (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) and a strong effort from
Ayanda McGill-Jefferson (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey), the Lock Haven University women's basketball team (1-3, 0-2 PSAC) fell to Seton Hill University (3-1, 20) 85-60.
McHale shot 9 of 19 from the floor and hit a pair of 3-pointers on the way to her career-high 20 points. It was also a game-high in scoring.
McGill-Jefferson grabbed a double-double, thanks to 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) turned in another strong effort and finished with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Eight of her 12 boards came on the defensive side.
Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (State College, Pa./State College) finished with eight points and six rebounds, while
Emily James (Mansfield, Pa./Mansfield H.S.) added seven points.
For Seton Hill, Alexandria Deep led four players in double figures with 15 points. Seton Hill also got a strong effort from its bench, which helped carry the Griffins to the win.
The Bald Eagles will return to the court on Tuesday, November 29 at 7 p.m. when they host Penn State DuBois.
