KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The No. 7 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (5-0, 1-0 PSAC) got four goals from
Rachel Engler (Perkiomenville, Pa./Rutgers) and the Bald Eagles opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action with a 10-9 victory at Kutztown University (5-1, 1-1 PSAC).
With the win, Lock Haven remained perfect and improved to 5-0 on the season.
Ashley Gochenaur (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and
Hope Thomas (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) both scored twice for the Bald Eagles.
Shannon Bissnette (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) added one goal and two assists, and
Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley Park) dished out four assists.
Hannah Houde (Jackson, N.J./Slippery Rock Univ.) had another big game between the pipes and finished with nine saves.
Lock Haven led by one, 5-4 at halftime and held on for the win, thanks to some solid play in the final minutes.
Lock Haven will host No. 17 Seton Hill on Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m.
